I love a city break, especially in the Spring. The weather is just right for strolling and exploring.
The simplicity of having no agenda, no schedule, leaving the day's activities to chance, letting serendipity set the route.
When designing the espadrilles l had these precious moments in mind. A leisurely breakfast sat outside a local neighbourhood cafe. Afternoon strolls from a museum or gallery, on to exploring the shopping area, the only decision to be made, “where shall we have dinner”? I wanted to create shoes comfortable and chic enough to wander those streets.
Lightweight for packing and for wearing are key for your clothes and shoes for sunny warm spring city breaks. Each piece you pack has to justify it’s place in your suitcase, especially if it’s hand luggage only! Your shoes have to be adaptable to work with your capsule holiday wardrobe and so a pair of espadrilles that can take you straight from busy exploring days to dinner dressing are a handy option.
