The Power of Telling a Friend About Our Espadrilles!

The power of word of mouth.

I can’t deny that my on line presence has without a doubt been key to finding the most wonderful ‘real life’ customers and connections. (If you don't already, please follow us on Instagram @soleofsummer !)

Finding amazingly talanted people who have supported my business and wonderful new customers. Once the connection has been made on-line, the conversation begins. That personal touch allows the ‘real connection’ to grow. A quick DM on instagram to chat sizing or delivery and suddenly we realise that beyond the screen and the scroll are lovely 'real' people who  want to connect over a love of shoes!

I wish l could meet everyone in real life to let them see and hold the shoes themselves. To see the quality and finish of our Spanish espadrilles. To appreciate the hand made stitching on our loafers and to meet me! Sarah, the owner and the person behind the screen. I want to hear your thoughts, your feedback and hopefully the sounds of 'oh these are comfy' as you try on the shoes. Sadly the connection, a lot of the time,  has to be made on line but please do 'stop by' virtually and send a message to say Hi!

I want everyone to know that there is a real person behind the screen.  However, what happens beyond that initial connection on line and the delivery of your shoes to your door is where I have realised the magic happens.

It’s that simple.

I think I had forgotten that. The power of a real life experience, or connection and relationship is so valuable. 

Shared experiences and first hand reviews. For example, telling a friend (when they compliment your ever so pretty wedges!) where you bought the shoes from. Being able to share finding something that's a bit different that others don't know about. 

A first hand review and experience of the product is so powerful. If your friend says they've worn them and they are comfortable you will be tempted to check the shoes out yourself.

So, in short. To state the obvious!!! Please do tell your friends when you find a brand or product from a small business that you love. Not just mine, they're are so many wonderful small UK businesses out there looking for your support. SPREAD THE WORD!

Honestly it means the world to us and can do so much more for our businesses than you realise.
